How to Make a High John the Conqueror Altar Cloth
In the Thai saiyasart tradition there is a practice of making magically activated cloths that believers can carry for protection or use in their shrines at home. I thought High John the Conqueror deserved a “pha yant” of his own so I designed this one in Adobe illustrator, drawing inspiration from the Solomonic magic circle and triangle of conjuration used in medieval sorcery.
Printed on 7oz cotton duck and about 24′ x 36, it even has its’ own custom “temple stamps”!
By myself I have sworn, my mouth has uttered in all integrity a word that will not be revoked:
Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear.
